Senior level coach

Under the general direction of the Manager of Workforce Development, the Senior level coach will provide career coaching to entry-level and mid-level employees interested in advancing their careers within Massachusetts General Hospital, PHS, and Partners Continuing Care.

The Career Coach will assist employees in identifying and achieving their career goals by providing guidance, information and support. The Career Coach will develop and facilitate group information sessions focusing on career decision-making, career exploration and career planning.

As a member of the HR team, this individual will work collaboratively with affiliate Recruiters and Training and Development personnel and the Partners Workforce Development Manager to develop workforce strategies that benefit employees and also meet the labor needs of the specific affiliates.

The Career Coach will be responsible for documenting coaching activities and reporting on employees outcomes. This position will require staying informed with current labor market trends, recruitment practices and labor needs within the assigned affiliates.

Qualifications:
*Bachelors Degree required.

*Human Resources generalist and/or recruiting experience in a healthcare environment preferred

*Experience in counseling or training adults preferred.

*Bilingual preferred.

*Career assessment and career decision-making tools and resources preferred or ability to learn after appropriate orientation.

*Possess an understanding of career coaching models and theories

*Familiarity with healthcare occupations and work environments preferred.

*Understanding of the barriers to career advancement that might exist for entry-level workers.

*Knowledge of community resources and web-base resources.

*Strong written, oral and presentation skills.

*Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with a diverse group of employees at all levels of the organization and community partners.

*Knowledge of support services/resources available to employees within the community.

*Must be well organized and have the ability to multi-task.

Executive coaching is here to stay…Retaining the services of an executive coach or mentor represents what I believe to be the ultimate business advantage available to professionals. With the numerous studies that have been authored which provide ample data affirming the extraordinary results that can be achieved through utilizing an executive coach I’m always amazed at the number of professionals who don’t yet have a coach on retainer.
